RANT #1. REAL Christianity

Last night I had to check myself after all the joking about Popeye's chicken lines. I gave it a ton of thought and came to the realization that i could laugh because I was almost one of them but the lines were too long. Yes, the sheriff could have found me there. Yes, I could have been bombed by the KKK. Yes, I would have been reppin with the rest of the hood.  If anyone felt that I was out of line, that is fine cause it was almost me too. 
Then I thought, Alfred, you confess your faith to any and everyone you see-all they have to do is ask- and even put it on Facebook.  You are having too much fun. The Black folks are going to think you are a hypocrite.  Because black people equate real Christians as stuffy, pompous and holier than thou! Like Esther from Sanford and Son.
Reader, you may have or have not chosen Christ as your savior. If you have, I want you to know that you will constantly have people watching your every move waiting for you to fall .  I also want you to know that you are going to fall. The Word of GOD states that the righteous man will fall but its not about the fall its about how long you stay down, what you do when your down , and when you get up. So don't worry about falling.
Reader, you may have not chosen Christ as your savior. If you have, I want you to know that you can have fun. Christianity is not a boring faith. you don't have to be stuffy, pompous, quote bible verses all day or any of that. One of the best days of my life is when a friend of mine told me that he rededicated his life because he saw that i had and i was still a fun loving person.
Reader, you may be a modern day pharisee. If so, Be Blessed! I know you will come around. I will tell ya a little about my self. Pharisee, I now you know the old testament but not the new so we are on two different wave lengths. However, if you know the new testament, Consider the following 2 facts:

1. I have not missed one Sunday of church in almost 2 years. In fact, i am at church for 2 services or more for he last 2 months because I sing in the Choir.-I praise HIM in HIS house and I try to be an example for people to see how to do it and that praise is okay.
2. I read my scriptures and devotions every morning. I even post information that I think may be useful for people along their way.-I am trying to create disciples. What are you doing Pharisee?

Frankly speaking, I am a REAL Christian. I walk it like I talk it and I have fun in the process.
